Sony的新一代游戏主机PlayStation 5自预购阶段起已供不应求，而11月12日正式发售后更是未能提供现货，目前已破历代PS主机的初期销售量记录。
Sony在当地时间11月25日通过PlayStation官方Twitter发文指出，PS5初期销售量已破记录，乃历代PS主机中最高。同时，其承诺会在今年内供应更多货量至零售门店，以满足市场需求。
We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever. Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year–please stay in touch with your local retailers.

虽然其没有透露PS5开卖初期的具体销售量数据，但据PlayStation 4初期销售量数据210万台估计，PS5的全球累计销售量有可能已超越此数字。
而Sony互动娱乐部门首席执行官Jim Ryan日前受访时也表示，预购量令其相当有信心，其相信PS5可完成在3月底前销售超过760万台的目标。
