任天堂周一（2日）宣布，手游Mario Kart Tour将于3月9日的香港时间中午12点开始支持多人连接模式。

Mario Kart在9月25日推出，当时游戏内已可见多人连接模式，惟该功能一直未开放。而任天堂曾在12月时开放Mario Kart Tour的多人连接模式Beta版，不过只有拥有黄金通行证（Gold Pass）的玩家才可参与测试。
在游戏上架约六个月后，终于正式推出多人连接模式。据消息指，玩家最多可以在本地或线上的七位玩家一起连接游玩。
