根据韩国The Elec报道，iPhone 16 Pro将会改成屏幕下Face ID功能，以提供更多可用的显示区域。
名为“Under Panel Face ID”预计明年应用于iPhone 16 Pro，Apple会将Face ID模块直接移至iPhone屏幕下方，当不需要使用Face ID时，用于Face ID的TrueDepth摄像就会隐藏于显示屏下方，与屏幕周围区域融合，令屏幕整体面积变得更大。

这个改变与显示器分析师Ross Young在2022年5月制定的时间表一致。The Elec也证实了有关传闻，即iPhone 15系列的所有四款主机都将提供动态岛，在2023年下旬，该功能将会从iPhone 14 Pro和iPhone 14 Pro Max扩展到两个标准机型。
报道中也提到，由于这种技术尚未成熟，故今年iPhone 15 Pro还是用回iPhone 14 Pro的显示屏设计。
