在日前揭幕的MWC Las Vegas活动上，美国电信运营商Verizon宣布与Qualcomm和Razer合作，推出全球首款配备5G连接功能的掌上游戏机。这部Razer Edge 5G将会采用Android系统，支持游戏下载、云计算游戏和连接家中游戏主机流媒体游玩。
报道指Razer Edge 5G是基于Qualcomm去年发布的Snapdragon G3X Gen 1处理器的工程机，但就作出一系列修改，包括手柄按钮布局等。外国媒体相信Razer Edge 5G的定位和规格配置，都会比起先前发布的Logitech G Cloud高，但就与可玩PC游戏的Steam Deck有一定差距。
除了宣布与Qualcomm和Razer合作，Verizon就只公开了一段25秒的预告视频，Edge 5G的具体规格和上市安排等，将会留待10月15日举行的RazerCon 2022由Razer全面公开。
