现在很多汽车品牌的信息娱乐系统都支持Apple CarPlay，不过Tesla就偏偏是其中一间不支持的车厂。为了令自己的Model 3能够使用CarPlay，开发者Michal Gapinski想到以Raspberry Pi微型计算机作为媒介，在Tesla的中控台运行CarPlay。

Gapinski的Raspberry Pi预装了定制的Android固件，在连接Model 3的信息娱乐系统连接后，就可以通过浏览器显示和使用Apple CarPlay的完整功能，包括地图和Apple Music，驾驶者甚至可以利用方向盘上的滚轮进行操控。Gapinski的方案用途Raspberry Pi的LTE Modem和Wi-Fi热点功能，不过他暂时对Wi-Fi连接还未满意，期望在改善后会令流媒体效果更加畅顺。
Gapinski没有透露太多细节，但表示现在项目还在初期阶段，一旦准备就绪，他打算将方案向公众公开。
