Apple今日公布App Store Awards 2021，包括全球性的最佳手机、平板、计算机App与游戏的得奖作品，以及地域性的最佳App、游戏奖项。其中儿童向虚拟模拟经营平台《Toca Life World》成为全球年度App大奖，而《LoL》iPhone版、《Marvel Future Revolution》iPad版荣获全球性手机、平板游戏大奖。香港方面，最多人下载的免费App为《安心出行》，值得关注的是通信软件Signal成为第二最多人下载的iPhone App，翻墙工具Shadowrocket成为最多人购买的付费iPhone App，反映香港人对于信息安全的需求越来越大。

今年iPhone App of the Year得奖者为Toca Life World，这款App是以儿童为对象的模拟经营游戏，同“元宇宙”概念也搭上关系。游戏玩家多为小学生，游戏世界里面有一张大地图，玩家自制一个角色，在空地上建筑甜品店、戏院等，更可直接进入这些建筑物。
而iPhone年度游戏iPhone Game of the Year，就由《League of Legends: Wild Rift》（英雄联盟：激斗峡谷）夺得。本作为MOBA多人网上战斗竞技场游戏，为同名电脑版的手机作品，游戏里用户要集结队友摧毁敌方基地。
至于iPad App of the Year年度大奖得奖者为LumaFusion。此App为视频剪辑工具，可在同一接口下导入多轨视频同时编辑，可将一般平凡视频剪辑成专业级作品。
而iPad Game of the Year大奖的得主为《MARVEL Future Revolution》，以漫威英雄作为主题，以开放世界动作RPG吸引玩家。玩家会成为新组成的超级英雄团队的特工，抵挡来自超级反派的攻击。
Apple同日也公布了香港地区10大付费、免费的iPhone、iPad应用程序与游戏。其中成为免费应用程序之冠是《安心出行》，而通信软件Signal成为了排行第2之10大免费iPhone App。除了知名应用程序外，医健通、八达通、MeWe等入榜，代表市民陆续在2021年更活用智能化工具，与网民从FB出走到MeWe的现象。而政府积极推广的“智方便iAM Smart”则只排第9。
而付费软件方面，最多人愿意付费购买的为有翻墙功能的信息安全工具Shadowrocket。另外用户对于生产力工具仍然有强大需求，GoodNotes 5、Notability、CamScanner都有上榜。特别注意是排行第2的“Forest”属于专注软件，它要求用户不玩手机，专心去做目前工作与学习，不玩手机反而能获得奖励，帮助森林增长。
