去年8月，游戏开发商Epic Games暗自在自家游戏《堡垒之夜》提供玩家直接支付系统，直接跳过App Store应用内购，因此直接被App Store下架，引发一系列针对App Store平台垄断的争议。
近期韩国修订新法律，明令禁止App Store与Google Play商店等平台的应用程序内购支付系统排他性，也就是允许应用程序开发商提供用户其他支付系统，可绕过两大平台，让苹果与Google不能抽取佣金。
韩国新法律似乎让Epic Games再度燃起希望，《堡垒之夜》官方Twitter稍早推文，Epic Games已要求苹果恢复《堡垒之夜》开发者账号，因Epic Games打算在韩国的App Store重新上架《堡垒之夜》。
Epic has asked Apple to restore our Fortnite developer account. Epic intends to re-release Fortnite on iOS in Korea offering both Epic payment and Apple payment side-by-side in compliance with the new Korean law.

且照韩国新法律，Epic Games可在游戏中提供Epic支付系统与苹果自家支付系统。
事情发展是否能如Epic Games的如意算盘目前还不得而知，虽就条法律本身而言，韩国尚未实际生效，苹果也尚未更新App Store指南以配合韩国的新法律。
